STS has built a proprietary AI platform that transforms repair management, e‑waste recycling, and B2B IT services. Unprecedented accuracy. Ultimate simplicity. Operating in Hume City. Expanding to new clients in 2026.
Business Overview
System Technology Services has been repairing, recycling, and supporting technology for individuals and businesses in Roxburgh Park since 2013. What started as a local repair shop grew into a multi-division operation — repairs, retail, B2B enterprise IT, and AS/NZS 5377-certified e-waste — all under one roof, all serving our community.
Over those thirteen years, we watched the same problem repeat itself: brilliant technicians slowed down by manual processes. Customers left waiting. Perfectly good devices lost to inefficient recycling. Businesses unable to get enterprise-level IT support without enterprise-level budgets.
So we decided to build the solution ourselves.
The STS AI Platform is the result — a proprietary system designed from the ground up by our team, for our industry. Not adapted from generic software. Not outsourced to a vendor. Built here, in Hume City, by people who understand this work because they do it every day.
Certifications & recognition
Certificate No. 476-W-3 · Global Compliance Certification
Australia's national standard for the collection and treatment of end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment. We meet it in full, for every device, every time.
Hume City Council
Recognised for outstanding contribution to the local business community.
Hume City Council
Recognised for leadership in circular economy practices and sustainable e-waste management.
Innovation Category
Most repair businesses still run on whiteboards, spreadsheets, and memory. Staff spend hours updating customers who are waiting for a call. Parts get ordered twice. Devices ready for collection sit unclaimed for weeks. Marketplace listings go stale. E-waste gets sorted the slow way, or not at all.
We lived that for years. And we built the alternative.
The STS AI platform connects every part of the operation — diagnostics, parts, technicians, customers, stock, recycling, and logistics — into one intelligent system. When it works, you don't notice it. That's the point.
What the platform does
Here's what it actually does.
Repairs
From the moment a customer books online, the platform takes over. Jobs are triaged automatically, technicians are assigned, and every status update is tracked by barcode and sent to the customer in real time. No spreadsheets. No missed calls. Just repairs, done right.
Retail & Marketplace
Our entire product catalogue syncs in real time across eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and Google Shopping from one place. When stock changes, every platform updates instantly. What used to take hours of manual work now happens automatically.
E-Waste
Every device that comes through our doors for recycling is automatically classified — repair, component recovery, or certified material recycling. We hold AS/NZS 5377 certification, and our AI-assisted process ensures every device reaches its highest-value recovery pathway.
Enterprise & B2B
Local businesses, schools, and medical centres can lodge repair jobs, track assets, and manage their technology through our B2B portal — without enterprise costs or enterprise complexity. IT management that actually works for the size you are.
Insurance
For insurance providers and their clients, the platform handles everything: prepaid shipping labels, device tracking on arrival, automated inspection workflows, and return logistics. A complete mail-in repair lifecycle with zero manual steps.
Circularity Category
AS/NZS 5377-certified e-waste is only the start. Our AI-assisted process routes every device to its highest-value recovery pathway — and the numbers show it.
Community & economic impact
Everything we build here stays here. The STS AI platform was designed in Roxburgh Park. It's operated in Roxburgh Park. And the people it benefits most are our neighbours — the residents, businesses, and organisations of Hume City.
Every repair we complete is a device that doesn't go to landfill. Every school or medical centre that uses our B2B portal gets IT support it couldn't afford before. Every technician on our team is a local resident with a skilled career, not a call centre ticket.
The Founder
Abdul has been repairing electronics since 2000 — more than 25 years fixing the devices other technicians turn away. In 2013 he founded System Technology Services and spent more than a decade on the shop floor there too — building the retail and e‑waste operations, and learning exactly where the industry loses time and value. Rather than buy generic software to fix it, he earned the qualification to build it himself: a Master of Computer Science specialising in Artificial Intelligence from Monash University, one of Australia's Group of Eight.
That is what makes this platform different. Machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision aren't borrowed buzzwords here — they are the subjects Abdul studied and the tools he now applies to real repair, recycling, and B2B workflows. Thirteen years of operational knowledge, translated into AI by the person who has lived both sides of it.
For an Innovation award, provenance counts. The STS AI platform was not outsourced, white‑labelled, or adapted from a vendor template — it was architected by a founder with 25+ years of hands‑on repair experience since 2000, thirteen years running STS itself, and a formal, graduate‑level AI education on top of both. The credential is independently verifiable through Monash University's My eQuals digital‑qualification portal.
Young Achiever
Riad is the architect translating STS's deep operational expertise into intelligent models. With a methodical approach to business logic design, he maps the full complexity of repair workflows, e‑waste classification, and B2B service patterns into structured AI models that don't just process data — they understand context.
His mission: distil the complexity of running a multi-service tech operation into systems so intuitive, they feel effortless to the people who rely on them every day.
Turns formal training in supply-chain management and marketing into working practice across STS's operations.
Led the design of STS's proprietary AI platform and steered the business through operational crises with calm, systems-thinking leadership.
Drives school partnerships, social-media education, and community workshops that share technical knowledge locally.
Visionary thinking, resilience, and authentic communication — the qualities that define a genuine young leader.
Represents STS at global AI events (GITEX / AI Everything Global 2025) and mentors emerging talent in Hume City.
An owner's mindset and deep personal investment in building a lasting local legacy — not just a job.
Early in his career, Riad has designed and shipped real, proprietary AI in a field — repair, recycling, and B2B IT — that rarely attracts young technical talent. He turned a family business's hard-won expertise into a scalable system, and pairs that technical depth with a genuine commitment to Hume City: local jobs, local investment, and environmental leadership. He is already operating at the level of a technical founder.
Meet the Team
Maher has been repairing electronics for more than 25 years, and it shows — he's the technician other shops send their hardest jobs to. If a device has been written off as unrepairable elsewhere, there's a good chance Maher can still bring it back. That depth of hands-on expertise is a big part of why STS can promise “no fix, no fee” and mean it.
Walk into STS or call the shop, and there's a good chance Aljon is who you'll speak to first. He's one of the names our happy customers mention most often in their reviews — thanked again and again for patient, honest advice and service that goes further than it needs to. Whether it's explaining a repair in plain English, pointing someone to the right device, or just making sure they leave happier than they arrived, that's Aljon's job — and customers notice.
Mustafa is joining the family business straight out of high school, with plans to study electronic engineering alongside it. As Products Manager he travels to China sourcing the best-quality accessories and devices for the shop and online store — and he's teaching himself Mandarin so he can deal directly with the factories, no middleman required. Motivated, sharp, and already thinking a generation ahead.
