What do I need to run it?

A Windows PC and a USB cable. The app talks to Android phones over ADB, and to iPhones via libimobiledevice. It runs at the bench — no customer data leaves your shop.

How does the subscription work?

One yearly licence per shop, for as many technician PCs as you run. You pay online and we email your licence key immediately; paste it into the app under Setup & USB › License. It renews automatically each year and your key extends without any re-install.

Can it really certify a phone as not stolen?

It checks the IMEI against the imeicheck.net lost/stolen blacklist as part of grading, using an imeicheck.net API key you enter once per PC; imeicheck.net charges its own small fee per check, separate from your STS subscription. A device that comes back blacklisted is failed and cannot be certified as sellable. Without a key the grade still works, and the certificate records the IMEI as not checked.

Does it work on iPhones?

Yes, through the free open-source libimobiledevice tools plus Apple Mobile Device Support (installed with iTunes or the Apple Devices app). Drop the tool files into the folder next to the app — the Setup screen shows exactly where — and it reads model, iOS version, serial, IMEI, Activation Lock state and battery. Android over ADB is fully live; iPhone reads cover identification and condition, not grading checks.
