Refund Policy

STS Pty Ltd is committed to providing quality repairs and products. This policy describes your rights and our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

This policy does not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Repair services

Warranty period (6 months)

All repairs carry a 6-month warranty on parts and labour from the date of service. If the same fault returns within this period:

  • We will re-repair the device at no charge as a first remedy.
  • If the fault cannot be resolved after a second attempt, you are entitled to a full refund of the repair cost.

Outside the warranty period

Repairs outside the warranty period are not covered unless the fault is attributable to our workmanship (e.g., a part failing prematurely due to poor installation). We'll assess each case and advise you of your options.

Exclusions for repairs

  • New or unrelated faults that arose after the repair
  • Physical damage (drops, cracks) that occurred after the repair was completed
  • Water or liquid damage occurring after the service
  • Damage caused by subsequent repairs or modifications by another party
  • Software issues, viruses, or malware

2. Product purchases

Major faults

If a product has a major fault (one that a consumer would not have bought had they known about it), you may choose a refund, replacement, or repair.

Minor faults

For minor faults, we may repair the product rather than replace or refund it. We aim to resolve minor fault claims within 10 business days.

Change of mind

We are not required by law to accept change-of-mind returns. However, as a courtesy, we offer store credit within 7 days of purchase for unopened items returned in their original packaging with proof of purchase. This does not apply to:

  • Opened or used products
  • Software, accessories already installed in a device
  • Items sold as "final sale" or clearance
  • Custom-order items (e.g., custom 3D prints)

3. How to make a claim

  1. Bring your device and proof of purchase to our store at Shop G69, 250 Somerton Road, Roxburgh Park VIC 3064. Open 9am–5pm, 7 days.
  2. Our technician will assess the fault — this is free and usually takes 15–30 minutes.
  3. We will advise your options (re-repair, replacement, or refund) and action the appropriate remedy.

We aim to resolve all warranty claims within 5 business days. Where parts need to be ordered, we will advise the expected timeframe.

4. Refund method

Refunds are issued using the same payment method as the original transaction wherever possible (credit/debit card refunds, cash refund, or store credit). Card refunds typically appear within 3–5 business days.
