Nokia — now made by HMD Global — has built a reputation for clean Android, long software support, and increasingly, intentional repairability. The Nokia G22 is a landmark device: HMD partnered with iFixit to design it with a user-replaceable battery and easy screen access, with a repairability score that most manufacturers only dream about. It's a phone that was built to be fixed rather than thrown away.

At STS Roxburgh Park, we repair the current Nokia Android range: Nokia G22, G42, X30, XR21 rugged, C32, C22, and older Nokia 3/5/7 series. Nokia phones are generally a pleasure to work on — clean construction, predictable component layouts, and a manufacturer that supports the repair ecosystem.

The Nokia G22 is our most frequent Nokia repair. HMD Global made a deliberate choice to design it for repairability — the back cover pops off with a standard pick, the battery is held by a single connector with no aggressive adhesive, and the screen is accessible without a heat gun fight. We replace G22 screens from $79 and batteries from $49, and the job is typically done in under an hour. For a $250–$300 phone, a $79 screen repair is an obvious choice.

Nokia X30 and G42 repairs are also common. These models step up to AMOLED displays — the X30 in particular has a good 6.43-inch AMOLED with a clean, compact form factor. Screen replacements on AMOLED Nokia models start from $89, with sourcing taking same-day to 1 day depending on stock.

The Nokia XR21 is our rugged Nokia repair speciality. IP69K rated and MIL-STD-810H certified, the XR21 is designed for construction sites, logistics workers, and outdoor environments. Its screen is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and the housing has extra protection layers — disassembly takes longer than a standard Nokia, but we have the tools and process. Screen replacement from $99.

Battery service is where Nokia shines relative to competitors. The G22's user-replaceable battery design means we can service it cleanly and quickly. Other models use standard bonded batteries — replaced from $59 — but Nokia's adhesive is typically less aggressive than Samsung or Xiaomi, keeping repair times short.

Nokia charging port repairs are occasionally needed on older 3- to 4-year-old Nokia devices where daily plugging has worn the USB-C contacts. We replace ports from $59, same-day.
