Xbox repairs split cleanly by generation. The Xbox Series X is a powerful machine with specific vulnerabilities — particularly around the HDMI port (the vertical mounting position makes it susceptible to damage from cable drag) and the thermal system (the fan design is excellent, but the thermal paste on the APU ages like any other). We replace the port using a hot-air rework station and professional microscopy. The repair typically takes 1–2 days.
Xbox overheating repairs usually involve fresh thermal paste on the APU (the main processor chip), combined with a thorough heatsink and fan clean. On older Xbox One models, thermal paste degradation is almost universal after 5+ years of use — a $69 thermal service can make a loud, throttling console run quietly again. On Series X, the thermal system is more robust but still benefits from periodic servicing.
Xbox disc drive repairs cover the laser assembly, the motor, and the loading mechanism. Xbox Series X drives are paired to the console's system software, which means only a compatible drive can be used as a direct replacement — we source the correct mechanism for your unit.
