Ultrasonic cleaning is the professional standard for water damage recovery. We submerge the logic board (or main PCB) in a specialist solution and use ultrasonic energy to dislodge mineral deposits, corrosion byproducts, and conductive residues from between surface-mount components and PCB trace gaps. After cleaning, the board is inspected under microscope and dried in a controlled environment.

iPhone water damage: iPhones have IP67/IP68 ratings but this doesn't mean they're immune to water damage — it means they resist brief submersion under controlled conditions. Chlorinated pool water, salt water, fizzy drinks, and toilet water all cause more damage than fresh tap water because of higher mineral/chemical content. IP-rated seals also degrade over time.
